World Hypnotism Day

How to make the most of the annual event celebrating Hypnosis worldwide

This was originally posted on a hypnosis marketing forum by Tom Nicoli.

It is 12:56 EST and I was just sitting back flipping television channels enjoying some down time after another successful World Hypnotism Day. I came across the Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson. This is the show opposite Conan O’brien.

And what was part of his monologue?… "Today is the 3rd Annual World Hypnotism Day. I missed the first 2."

World Hypnotism Day

Today is the big day. I’m excited because when I did a search on Google News this morning, there were 27 World Hypnotism Day articles up from only 4 when I wrote the post on How To Use A Press Release.  Many of you took action, and got results.  Congratulations!

Here’s what can happen with a well written press release:

A big article in the Folsom Telegraph about local Hypnotherapist Loretta Holt

A great article in Up & Coming Magazine about Hypnotherapist Teresa Del Giudice

The Contra Costa Times gives great coverage to Hypnotherapist Seth-Deborah Roth’s World Hypnotism Day Event

The St. Petersburg Times wrote a nice piece on Hypnotherapist Debbie Lane and her event

If you didn’t do anything on the world wide day celebrating Hypnosis, you missed a golden opportunity.  And you should start today, right now, planning how you will maximize your marketing and publicity for next years event.

Go register yourself now on the World Hypnotism Day website and read the success stories for ideas.  Look through the marketing materials there for ideas.

And most important… MARK YOUR CALENDER for next years event.  Don’t just mark the date in January.  Mark dates in October, November, and December for you to plan your events, write your press releases, contact your client list, etc.

Tomorrow is the big day, and if you’ve been preparing you should have an event planned to showcase Hypnosis and your skills as a Hypnotist.

Equally as important, and perhaps even more important is what you did to get people to attend.  Getting ‘butts in seats’ is one of the hardest things to do and requires a substantial amount of marketing and follow up.

So what you should be doing in these final hours leading up to your event is massive follow up.  This of course assumes you got contact information for everyone you invited to your event.
